About You:
As an established civil engineer, you are driven and enthusiastic about working in the renewable energy sector, particularly within the asset management environment. You bring experience with visual inspections and remote monitoring of civil engineering structures, including the use of advanced information technologies to capture, store, and analyse related data. Additionally, you possess strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, complemented by excellent written and oral communication abilities.
About the role:
This role is crucial for managing the civil asset portfolio, ensuring a clear understanding of the condition, performance and risk of Asset and Infrastructure’s (A&I) civil assets. Key responsibilities include managing these assets sustainably throughout their lifecycle to meet business needs within the required level of service and risk tolerability. Guided by Hydro Tasmania’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP), the role involves scoping, planning, and delivering the civil portfolio surveillance program, while obtaining in-depth knowledge on each assets design, history, and performance. Duties include conducting site inspections and assessments, preparing technical documents and reports, providing engineering input for investment decisions, managing consultants, undertaking investigations and responding to asset-related queries. Additionally, the role involves working across various teams to achieve these outcomes.
