Please attach your resume, most recent University transcript and cover letter to your application. In your cover letter, outline your skills and experiences you will bring to the role as well as answer the following questions:
- What interests you in working with Hydro Tasmania and what would you like to achieve within the Graduate Program?

At Hydro Tasmania, we pride ourselves on our merit-based recruitment processes, and for our Graduate recruitment, this is no different. This means you will be assessed on your skills and abilities, however, as a Graduate, we aren’t expecting you to have lots of experience in your chosen field, we are simply looking for you to be able to demonstrate some core competencies such as working well in a team, communication, self-awareness and a proactive approach to work.
Thinking of using generative AI in your application? We encourage you to use all the tools you have available to help you and make things easier! We do recommend caution however, as generative AI can make your job application sound more generic which won’t help you stand out in our competitive process - this is your chance to sell us on you!
When applying, make sure you select the stream most relevant to your degree/background. If more than one is relevant, you can apply for multiple streams. We do recommend however to focus your application on one stream and call out in your cover letter if you wish to be considered for multiple!
If eligible for our program (studying/recently completed a relevant degree and have full working rights in Australia or able to obtain in time for employment), once you have submitted your initial application, you will be asked to complete our Vervoe online assessment. Vervoe is an online platform that provides skills-based assessments for candidates. We recommend applying ASAP to ensure you have as much time as possible to complete this next stage.
