About You and the Role

We can’t wait for you to join our team as a Technical Officer - Design Drafter - Primary Electrical and bring your fresh perspective to the team.

Opportunity to work on diverse projects including wind, solar, battery storage, pumped hydro and utilities works (transmission and distribution substations, switchyards and lines) for a broad range of clients.

You will work with and actively contribute to an effective and experienced team who will help you further develop your skills and knowledge.

You have a experience in the following areas:

  • Good working knowledge with 2D or 3D CAD software (Autodesk / Inventor / Microstation / Solidworks / other).
  • Minimum 1 year experience.
  • Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting or equivalent (or higher)
  • Previous experience in an engineering design consultancy environment preferred.
  • Previous experience working on electrical utility projects.
  • Experience in some of the following:
    • Primary Electrical layout design (substations and switchyards)
    • 2D Civil foundation design and detailing
    • 2D Structural design and detailing
    • Electrical layout drawings
    • Electrical single line drawings
    • 3D modelling of foundations, equipment or structures.
    • Working with engineering direction to generate design concepts and drawings

Depending on your experience we may be able to support hybrid/ work from home (WFH)/ remote work conditions if you don't live in Hobart Tasmania and wish to remain in your home state or wish to work part-time.
