IGO is recruiting for an Electrical Supervisor within the Maintenance team at its world class Nova Operation. We are looking for a person with the right values and attitude - a team player whose vision aligns with ours; fostering the systems and culture that safely achieves the highest level of performance at the lowest total cost of ownership from our assets.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a permanent full time position on an 8:6 FIFO roster out of Perth. By joining IGO in a leadership role, you are taking on a key role in shaping a culture whereby safe behaviour is an integral part of our business.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the Electrical Maintenance team to sustain and continuously improve the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of the assets under your care;
• Provide a senior level of technical expertise in electrical and instrument bodies of knowledge, troubleshoot electrical and instrument systems and equipment;
• Coach and mentor electrical maintenance team members and act as a steward for a positive and engaged culture of safe behaviour, quality (do it right the first time), and operational excellence (highest performance at the lowest cost); and

Provide your team members with adequate information, instruction, supervision and training to excel in their respective roles

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will be a team player with a strong safety focus. You will also have the following:

• Electrical trade qualification and WA electrical license is essential;
• Cert IV Electrical – Instrumentation is essential;
• Cert IV in Frontline Leadership (or similar) is essential;
• 10+ years’ experience leading electrical maintenance teams is essential;
• 10+ years maintaining & troubleshooting of crushing, milling, flotation, dewatering, and 1000V underground electrical equipment is essential;
• Formal training and/or extensive experience working within a recognised behavioural safety framework (e.g. Dupont or similar) is essential;
• High Voltage Switching / Operations training;
• High Voltage Switching / Operations training;
• Proven leadership skills embedding into your team a culture founded on the highest standards of safe behaviour and quality of work;
• Electrical Contractors Nominee – In-house license eligibility – desirable;
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is desirable;
• Cert IV in Training and Assessment is desirable;
• Training/accreditation in Lean practices or similar is desirable;
• Familiarity/training in Pronto CMMS is essential;
• Training or certification in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling is desirable; and
• Working knowledge of WA Electrical Regulations, MSIR Act & Regs, AS3000, and AS3008.1.1
