YOUR ROLE
IGO is a growing mining and exploration company with 3 operational mines, a 170-person corporate office and an exploration team working across Australia. Our success is underpinned by the quality and reliability of our technical systems and security and our ability to resolve issues as they arise.
Based at our corporate office, with occasional site travel, we are seeking applications from people who love working as part of a team and can bring experience in network management and maintenance.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all network systems;
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures;
- Contribute to and maintain network system standards;
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware/software upgrades, and resource optimisation as required;
- Manage IT projects as directed by the Infrastructure Team Leader; and
- Perform on call duties as required as part of the team roster.
YOUR EXPERIENCE

- Experience in a similar role with mining industry will be considered an advantage;
- Demonstrated experience working on major networking projects;
- Proficient with Switches, Routers, Access Points and Firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Ruckus);
- Experience designing and implementing an enterprise network (SDWAN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, WLAN);
- Strong enterprise network troubleshooting skills (STP, Routing, SolarWinds);
- Exceptional communication skills – you need to be open, approachable and positive to support effective communication across all levels of the business including highly skilled written and verbal communication;
- Valid ‘C’ class manual drivers licence (essential); and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last 2 months.
