THE ROLE
IGO is an ASX100 clean energy mining and exploration company that has seen significant growth in operations and exploration projects in recent years. We have three underground Nickel operations, a 170-person corporate office and a large exploration team working across Australia. We also have a significant indirect interest in the Greenbushes lithium mine through a joint venture.
IGO is continuing to build capability within our teams, and we are seeking an experienced Sustainability Advisor to join us. Reporting to the Company Secretary & Head of Corporate Affairs you will be responsible for supporting the company’s sustainability objectives through the collection, analysis and reporting of sustainability data. More specifically, key accountabilities include:
- Lead the preparation of the annual sustainability report and provide the business response of sustainability performance into the annual report;
- Contribute to the development of sustainability strategic objectives, sustainability standards and initiatives;
- Support the development of sustainability work plans aligned to our sustainability framework;
- Drive continuous improvement in sustainability data processes and systems;
- Coordinate whole of business response to external rating agencies;
- Assist IGO with required public disclosures; and
- Engage and update the business on sustainability issues and trends.

To be successful in the role you must be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications coupled with significant experience in a corporate sustainability role, preferably within the mining industry;
- Demonstrated experience in corporate sustainability reporting using Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and/or Global Reporting Initiative (GRI);
- Experience in the preparation of Annual Sustainability Reports and submitting responses to sustainability ratings;
- Sound understanding of global carbon emissions abatement and corporate climate change management;
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Highly developed analytical and report writing skills;
- Valid ‘C’ class driver’s licence; and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
