Your Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team based at our South Perth Corporate Office. In this role, you will provide high‑quality legal advice and support across IGO’s operations, exploration portfolio, joint ventures and strategic growth initiatives. By enabling effective, responsible and compliant operations, you will contribute to IGO’s purpose of making a difference for future generations.

This is a 12-month contract commencing in early February 2026. You will be based at our Perth office in South Perth and work closely with a small, collegiate legal team.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of contracts including procurement, land access, heritage, earn‑ins and joint venture agreements.
  • Provide legal advice on mining law matters, operational issues and regulatory compliance affecting IGO’s business.
  • Support due diligence activities and provide legal input into corporate development and transactional activities.
  • Manage disputes, litigation and engagement with external legal counsel.
  • Provide clear, commercial legal guidance to senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in legal processes, governance and risk management.

Your Experience

Along with an engaging communication style and pro-active attitude, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:

  • Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor, with current Australian legal practising certificate.
  • Demonstrated post‑qualification experience in commercial, corporate or resources law.
  • Experience gained in a leading law firm or in‑house within an ASX‑listed organisation.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic, commercially‑focused legal advice in a fast‑moving environment.
  • National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
