The Opportunity

Due to ongoing business growth, we are looking for an excavator operator who has experience excavating around live assets. Given our vast range of services, there is plenty of variety with the roles and responsibility which include (but not limited to):

Operation of excavators ranging from 2.5 to 8 tonne
Excavating around water, gas or electrical assets
General labouring including site preparation, onsite support and associated civils
Operating state-of-the-art Plant & Equipment in pipeline renewal (cleaning and assessments, pipe lining, junction cut & seal and flow management)

We offer a rewarding remuneration package including regular overtime. Your background may be from one of the following:

Pipe maintenance experience such as reactive water main maintenance, plumbing, gas main and water main renewals
NBN or electrical industries where you have excavated around live assets
Or you might want to break into the industry, if so we'd still like to hear from you!

Key Selection Criteria:

Valid Drivers Licence
Demonstrated experience in laying water and sewer mains
Experience excavating around live assets
OHS Construction Induction Card (White card)
Have the ability to work on sites across Sunshine Coast region and surrounds
Good work ethic and positive work attitude with the ability to work in a team
A strong focus on safety
HR or MR licence, Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights licences are desirable but not essential.

To make sure that you’re fully fit to join our team you will be subject to a pre-employment medical (including a drug & alcohol test) and a criminal history check. Please be aware that these roles may require you to enter confined spaces, successful candidates will be provided with certified confined spaces training if required.
