This is a Product leadership and strategic role, dedicated and fully focused on fostering design and Product excellence in the ways Iress innovates, builds and delivers products. This will be a central role within the Product Wealth Management business, with cross-functional reach to drive outcomes across our existing Wealth Management products, but primarily helping to bring new product-innovations to market and increase value to clients.
At Iress this will mean operating in a collaborative environment across teams with continuous improvement a focus. You (and your team) will be the hub of hands-on design practices and methodologies for product, technology and client-facing teams to measurably impact the value our products bring to our clients. Your leadership and initiative will ensure that Iress is known for its innovative Wealth products, and is sought out for the outstanding end-to-end experiences our software and services offer to our clients across all user touchpoints.
The role operates in partnership with the various design, product and engineering teams to ensure cohesive and scalable solutions are built at speed and with high value and levels of quality. The role also acts as a champion of change, drives continuous improvement thinking and actions in line with the wider Wealth Management strategic objectives and goals.
Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:
Lead, mentor and develop a team of designers and product managers on strategic growth initiatives, and ensure delivery of measurable business outcomes
Formulate user-research frameworks that fit within the Iress way-of-work and put into practice the ways to conduct research that informs, iterates, and validates our product thinking
Promote, facilitate and scale out specific product practices, for example design-sprint and discovery sessions, with cross functional multi-disciplinary teams to help define core user needs, problem statements and measurable user-experience outcomes
Lead, execute, identify and define required product roadmaps and design artifacts such as concept stories, medium fidelity prototypes, user journey maps, and user flow diagrams
You will collaborate with sales and solution consulting teams to co-innovate with potential customers to create new products that will help Iress enter new product areas
What you will bring:
You are a Product leader (held Senior Product Leadership and/or UX roles) who has a track record of building user-centric and design-led products with commercial success - i.e. has know-how of ‘UX’ and design-thinking methodologies and practices applied to all facets of product development resulting in successful consumption of products that deliver value and delight end-user experiences
You have had first hand experience in research methodologies (i.e. Jobs to be done) and have successfully built products that meet specifically identified needs and growth targets
Proactively works with other people and leaders to drive design excellence and create scale and leverage for the benefit of both Iress and clients.
Leads a team of high performing design and product management professionals ensuring Wealth Management products are aligned, consistent, on target, offer product differentiation and competitive advantage.
Ensures outcomes are delivered in close collaboration with engineering teams, other product teams and required stakeholders, maximising focus on value, while providing insights and feedback to other teams that drives constant improvement across Iress
Is hands-on and has an entrepreneurial spirit and style. Consistently becomes personally involved in all elements of leading the function, while ensuring the team has the freedom and autonomy to achieve goals and outcomes
