About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Business Manager to join our Building Solutions Division.
Reporting to the Sales Director, this Melbourne‑based role leads the national sales strategy, performance, and long‑term growth of Independent National Accounts across Australia. You will lead a small team, and play a pivotal role in strategic customer partnerships, long‑range planning, and cross‑functional execution.
This role is based at our Melbourne site with hybrid flexibility.
What You’ll Do
Make a Difference
Lead and accelerate long‑term growth and sustainable profitability across Independent National Accounts, owning the customer and category sales strategy nationally.
Strategic Leadership & Commercial Impact
Deliver revenue, volume, margin, and forecast accuracy targets.
Develop Sales & Account Management strategies aligned to the value proposition and long‑range plans.
Leverage market, channel and end‑user insights to strengthen value propositions and defend/grow market share.
Collaborate & Influence
Partner closely with Marketing, Supply Chain and the Field Sales team to drive successful execution of initiatives.
Build and maintain senior‑level strategic customer relationships
Champion ITW values and drive alignment across cross‑functional teams.
Lead & Develop Talent
Lead, coach and mentor your direct reports to build capability, succession depth, and high‑performing behaviours.
Role model ITW leadership, culture and values.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong strategic capability and commercial acumen.
- Proven success in delivering sustainable business growth in a National Account Manager, National Business Manager or equivalent role.
- Experience in Hardware, Retail, FMCG or related industries (highly regarded).
- Excellent relationship‑building and influencing skills across functions.
- Natural 80/20 leader who simplifies, prioritises and executes effectively.
- Strong financial acumen and results orientation.
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience.
