About the role:
The purpose of the position is to maintain the safety, service & quality of the natural gas network in the ACT/Nowra region.
- Complete all programmed and corrective maintenance of Zinfra client's gas facilities and networks within time frames and KPI's
- Comply with Priority "0" procedures, KPI's and WHS requirements
- Ensure no gas outages due to maintenance and repair techniques
- Reduce "call backs" or rework on work performed
- Be pro-active in improving quality standards
- Report all system and component failures through the respective Jemena/Zinfra procedures
- Work in accordance with the code of conduct and safety policies and procedures
- Carry out risk assessments on all work
- Assist with resourcing during emergency or critical times
- Provide constructive input regarding issues affecting the R&M team
About you:
- An understanding and experience working within the Utilities sector, ideally gas desirable but not essential
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to learn and undertake training
- Trustworthiness and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities
- Experience in use of tools and equipment
- Ability to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business and being only a monthly after-hours callout roster
You will require the following qualifications:
- Current Australian drivers licence
- White Card
- Asbestos card
- Plumber/Gas fitter or Mechanical trade background, desirable but not essential
If this is an industry you are passionate about but don't have the experience, we will provide training and support to the successful applicant.
We pay in accordance to the EA, with a starting salary at over $80,000+ Superannuation, once you have completed all training and gained desired experience you have an earning potential of up to $120,000/annum.
