About the role
Interval Meter Data (IMD) SME is responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient operation of interval industrial and commercial data management and billing processes designed to meet the regulatory and commercial obligations of Jemena and its customers in the networks under management.
The role is accountable to build strong customer and stakeholder relationships (both internal & external) and work collaboratively with other parts of the business to identify improvement opportunities and drive change throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities include
- Provide subject matter experience and support to internal team members.
- Efficiently process and validate daily meter reading and billing data collected from interval industrial and commercial contract sites at the end of each Gas Day (0600h).
- Deliver accurate and complete billing and related data to retailers and stakeholders in compliance with regulatory, ring-fencing and contractual requirements.
- Recover revenue entitlements by performing appropriate investigations and reconciling and back-billing under- or over-charged amounts.
- Effective monitoring, maintenance and trouble-shooting of contract sites’ metering equipment, Metretek and related devices, and telecommunication lines and equipment, including generation and scheduling of service and breakdown maintenance work and coordination with field technicians.
- Identify and raise with the business any systemic issues, process improvements and customer concerns, conduct analysis to determine root cause, provide recommendations to address the cause and drive remediation activities to assist in the resolution.
- Detect and analyse meter reading, billing and asset management anomalies, and propose investigation approaches and solution options.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical or business discipline.
- Proven utility experience in billing analytics and mathematical methodologies Sound interpersonal and communications skills, written and verbal, capable of influencing staff, peers and external stakeholders—including experience in the preparing and presenting to management and formal submissions.
- Experience managing internal and external stakeholders and providing subject matter expertise to internal staff members.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with troubleshooting, interval meter measurement systems, hardware and software.
- Demonstrated experience with using systems and technologies to manage data collection, processing, analysis and reporting will be an advantage.
- Understanding of gas distribution network topology is an advantage and NSW and ACT gas market regulatory procedures and rules.
- Excellent and confident verbal/communication skills
- Good time management skills and the ability to multi task.
