About the role
We are currently seeking a Team Leader Electrical Inspector to join our team on a full-time permanent basis based at our Tullamarine depot.
The primary focus of the team leader is to coordinate the management of resources, and to manage and lead the field staff to ensure compliance work for metering and servicing is undertaken.
Key Responsibilities include
- Provide supervisory support and leadership to both internal and sub-contract resources
- Support the business objectives and improve operational efficiencies and performance
- Plan, organise and support field activities within specific projects/jobs; ensuring delivery expectations of customer service, quality and safety
- Ensure the projects & maintenance are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with Zinfra Asset Management Quality processes
- Ensuring work practices and procedures are in accordance with company policies, quality systems and statutory safety requirements
- Ensure safety procedures are fulfilled; each employee is properly trained for the activities being undertaken; each work site is adequately resourced; the workmanship is to appropriate standard and efficiency
About You
To be considered for this role you will have experience working within a leadership role and have a sound knowledge of systems and technical information with practical experience in electrical inspection and customer service delivery.
- Possess a sound understanding of all regulatory, VSIR and VESI procedures and activities related to electrical electricity distribution asset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with customers, suppliers, staff and senior management at all levels, in a professional manner
- Ability to manage project budgets, to meet and exceed performance expectations
- Experience working within the electricity distribution network (highly desirable)
- Hold active "A" Grade Electrical licence with a G Class Electrical Inspectors Licence; ESI Worker Card (mandatory VESI training as per the VESI Matrix for Electrical Inspector and a current Australian Drivers Licence
