About the role

We are currently seeking an experience Power Quality Specialist to lead the power quality related works of the electricity supply network to meet power quality requirements and optimise costs for any rectification works

Key Responsibilities include

  • Analyse daily situation report for power outages/ faults arise from customer complaints
  • Coordinate field activities and perform audits for rectification of issues
  • Perform testing works and install portable power quality meters as required to locate faults
  • Provide responses including preparation of customer reports and close out jobs with the relevant stakeholder
  • Lead power quality investigations that arise from network integrity proactive detection
  • Provide assistance and support to develop concept design for the augmentation work within the Distribution Substation Augmentation and Power Quality Programs and the distribution substation replacement work within the Distribution Substation Replacement Program
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and organise annual calibration works

About You

The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge and understanding of distribution networks, zone substations and operations with an engineering background.

  • Broad understanding of low voltage distribution network line design and up to date knowledge of power quality standards and technical developments in the electricity industry
  • Understanding of testing procedures and power quality meters
  • Knowledge of IT systems used for power quality purposes (power quality software applications)
  • Effectively communicate with internal & external stakeholders
  • Ability to use software tools, spreadsheets, databases etc to perform duties
  • Advanced Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
