About the role:
We are seeking to engage with an Operational Analyst to develop the tools/ mechanisms and provide the necessary reports and dashboards for managing forecasting and resourcing of the Gas Services Portfolio of work. The key role coordinates the monthly forecast for the Gas Services Portfolio of work, monitoring the variance against the baseline and provides detailed variance analysis and identifies potential risk scenarios.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Identifying, analyzing, and monitoring routine programs across the business and liaising with other stakeholders to improving the accuracy of cost forecasting and budget management;
- Supporting the governance forums in developing tools and reports, as well as providing performance updates on cost and volume performance against the baseline and forecast.
- Supporting delivery teams with analytics and reports required to interrogate program cost and volumes.
- Leveraging off the technology available to continuously improve our reports and analytical services.
- Supporting COWP and Delivery Plan development through the analysis of past year cost trends, unit rates and identifying key call-outs and risks to future programs
- Contributing to the planning and monitoring of annual budget details ensuring all ad hoc projects are costed with any possible variables taken into account
- Developing short term and long-term (2-year) cost, volume and resource forecasts for the program of work providing clear visibility of potential risk scenarios and management strategies
- Working with Planners to monitor and review short term, medium and long-term work activities, including analysing trends, identifying cross-regional interdependencies, initiating system and operational improvements
- Coordinating monthly cost and volume forecasts for assigned projects and project tasks, within requirements of contracts to ensure that Works Planning Activities are delivered in a cost-effective manner and within budget
- Providing detailed analysis into program financials such as budgets, unit rates, run rates, commitments and accrual/cost pass through activities.
About you:
To be selected for interview your profile will need to highlight a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Finance or Business Management.
Please also give details of experience in
- Managing routine CAPEX and OPEX programs and projects which involve detailed stakeholder negotiations to ensure that projects occur on time and within budget.
- implementing and/or continually improving operational process and systems
- Developing and managing systems and tools that provide clear visibility of demand and supply status
