An overview of our role:

This is an initial 12 month fixed-term position with potential view to permanency. You will be empowered to develop, lead and implement short and long term procurement strategies; through engaging various internal and external key stakeholders across our group to improve enterprise procurement & supply chain service offerings and the overall profile of the Group.

Take this opportunity to deliver optimum results through strategic and intelligent tendering, sourcing and supply chain management as well as ensuring effective contract and category management. Through effective stakeholder engagement and business partnering, this role is to ensure that outputs are aligned with the requirements of the enterprise and an integrated approach to sourcing & supply chain strategies and initiatives are aligned to our group strategic direction.

• full end to end procurement process including commercial contract management lifecycle
• supplier relationship management and category management
• market engagements and supply chain management
• empowered to develop, lead and implement both short and long term procurement strategies
• delivering optimum results through tendering and ensure outputs are aligned with requirements

A little about you:

• proficiency in both Mandarin and English to facilitate communication with our Chinese suppliers
• substantial experience working in procurement with a solid track record of being a strategic business partner
• strong commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically coupled with experience in effectively engaging stakeholders in tendering and contract implementation
• ability to plan and manage multiple procurement categories, analyse, interpret and develop strategic methodologies will be highly regarded
• relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement, Commercial or Supply Chain management, or a related degree is desirable, but not a pre-requisite
• detailed knowledge of contract management methodologies and legislative requirements is critical
• exposure to electrical equipment distribution network and/or transmission as a Project Engineer is highly desirable
