Overview of our role
*Initially a 12 month fixed-term parental leave cover which may transition into a permanent opportunity.
As the Business Systems Specialist, you are a senior member of the team and will focused on the design, implementation, and ongoing operational support of deployed systems.
You are empowered to bridge project delivery teams with operational functions, ensuring smooth transitions, system stability, and continuous optimisation. Collaborates with stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, validate project deliverables, and lead user acceptance testing. You will also facilitate and support operational handovers, develop support frameworks, and ensure the system is maintained and enhanced to meet evolving business needs.
Additionally, your role involves monitoring system performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving continuous improvements to enhance functionality and efficiency. Comprehensive documentation and reporting are also key to ensure smooth ongoing operations and support.

Possess of a current Australian driver’s license as travel between sites within Victoria is essential for supporting system implementations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operational handovers and on-site troubleshooting.
A little about you
- Business Analysis & Solution Design: Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and process mapping for IT/digital projects, particularly digital transformations and large-scale deployments.
- Project Delivery & Transition: Ensure successful project execution, including UAT, knowledge transfer, and transition to BAU operations. Develop SOPs and support documentation.
- End-User Support & Training: Provide primary BAU support, address technical issues, and conduct end-user training to facilitate system adoption and ease the transition to new tools or processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, aligning expectations and facilitating productive requirements-gathering sessions.
- Performance Monitoring & Incident Resolution: Monitor system performance, resolve incidents, and collaborate with IT, vendors, and other stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Knowledge Transfer & Documentation: Lead knowledge transfer sessions with operational teams, ensuring readiness for ongoing maintenance and support.
Qualifications / certifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience in a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst role with experience in both project delivery and operational support.
- Strong understanding of IT/Digital systems, project lifecycle management, and ITIL practices.
- .NET, JavaScript and API Integrations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate the technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stakeholder management and facilitation of requirements gathering sessions.
- Comfortable navigating both Agile and Waterfall environments, with practical experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
