The role:

Knight Frank are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced financial and management accountant to join our Client Financial Services team to assist in the management of one our key clients.

The successful candidate will hold experience in financial and management accounting, along with the ability and confidence to build strong relationships to stakeholders, influencing and providing solutions where required.

The Portfolio Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the client’s property accounting requirements are delivered, and their service expectations are met and exceeded.

Key tasks:

  • Deliver effective and consistent financial management of client portfolios
  • Work closely with clients and property managers to understand their needs and ensure that their contracted services are being delivered
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and act as the first point of contact for any queries and complaints
  • Identify and implement necessary process change where improvement opportunities exist
  • Review and revise the information systems and processes ensuring they align with the needs of the portfolio
  • Deliver ongoing training of our systems and processes to the clients and property managers
  • Monitor bank reconciliations and debtors in relation to unallocated/unknown receipts
  • Review and analyse financial results of client portfolios
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant policies, processes, guidelines and standards

Who we are looking for?

  • Financial and management accounting experience with CPA/CA qualification
  • Property industry experience (preferred)
  • Solid information systems understanding
  • Portfolio management experience
  • Management Reporting International (MRI) an advantage
  • Ability to operate in both a strategic and operational manner
  • Strong client service focus and driven to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
