The role:
Knight Frank Australia’s Project Management team is growing on the back of significant Queensland economic growth and Olympic investment. This is coupled with some great project opportunities across property strategy, social infrastructure, commercial, health and education projects.
We are looking to bring on an experienced Project Director ready to take their next step into being part of the leadership team. This opportunity will be perfect for someone excited by the prospects of not only managing end-to-end project delivery but taking the reigns on developing a business line alongside the leadership team in the state.
Your experience in new build, brownfield refurbishment and social infrastructure projects will be vital in your success as well as leveraging your skillset in motivating the team around you.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide end to end project management and contract administration services for a diverse range of real estate, social infrastructure, and property construction/development projects.
- Conduct project initiation, feasibility studies and strategy analyses.
- Procure and manage project teams, including design consultants, contractors, and other necessary specialists.
- Oversee the design process, ensuring alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement project procurement methodologies, tendering processes, and quality plans.
- Manage tender and bid processes to secure new projects.
Business Development:
- Contribute to business development strategies, tenders/submissions, client pitches, and pricing submissions.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate independently and cultivate client relationships.
- Execute proactive marketing strategies to generate leads and drive business growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Identify and lead initiatives to increase market share and revenue, fostering innovation and diversity in project management approaches.
Operations:
- Collaborate with the Head of Project Management to manage the business stream in an integrated global property services company.
- Proven track record as a self-starter in managing internal teams and projects.
- Capacity to take initiative to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Actively seek out opportunities for productivity improvements, technology enhancements and cost reductions.
Industry Profile:
- Proactively engage in industry associations, conferences, and networking events.
- Capacity to take the initiative to contribute thought leadership and insights to industry publications.
- Known as a self-starter with a strong personal brand and recognized contributions to the industry.
Who are we looking for?
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in client-side project management, building contracting, developer-side consultancy or related property fields.
- Self-motivated and proactive individual who can also work autonomously.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and be a self-starter in projects, tasks and leadership.
- Collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and build relationships effectively.
- Creative problem solver, bringing innovative solutions to challenges.
