Why we have this role @ Koala
As part of the planning team, you will work closely with our suppliers and manufacturing partners to place and manage the purchase orders based on forecasts and Inventory policies.
You will play an important role ensuring that our amazing products are readily available for our customers to purchase while at the same time working alongside our Supply Planning Team Lead to continuously improve the planning function.
What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
- Monitor stock levels of materials & finished goods across multiple warehouses and raise purchases in line with our forecasts & production plans
- Ensure inventory is balanced between warehouses, planning interstate DC transfers where required
- Monitor the status of purchase orders & deliveries from production sites, investigate order anomalies and ensure all purchases and deliveries are processed correctly
- Ensure ordered quantities are filled in full and manage any under supplies or discrepancies
- Maintain master data and planning ecosystem for your own planning files and suppliers, including SKU creation and price updates
- Contribute to supplier evaluations and responsible for supplier performance related escalations
- Perform general administrative tasks to maintain purchase orders & Inventory accuracy for all markets
- Monitoring expiry risks where required and balancing of componentry at a child level
- Assist with projects to make improvements to purchasing & planning to achieve greater efficiencies across the Supply Chain
Requirements
Ideal background…
- 3yrs+ experience in a supply planning role or transferable experience from a stock replenishment, inventory management or production planning role
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain highly regarded
- Comfortable using ERP systems (NetSuite advantageous)
- Comfortable working in large complex shared google sheets and excel files
- Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset backed by excel skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform in a time sensitive environment
- A team player that can also work independently
- Self-motivated, task-oriented and organised
- A passion to keep up to date on current industry trends
