Why we have this role @ Koala
We are looking for a Sales & Marketing Business Partner reporting into the FP&A Manager, to support achievement of sales targets, improve forecast accuracy and drive financial effectiveness of marketing spend. The role will also partner with the business to develop promotional and pricing strategies and optimise return on investment (ROI) of marketing investments.
What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?
- Partner closely with a large number of stakeholders globally including the Chief Commercial Officer, Country Manager Japan and Marketing Leads across the Group.
- Work with stakeholders to prepare budgets/forecasts and support financial analysis of initiatives and projects across Sales & Marketing
- Presenting financial results and analysis to senior leaders
- Drive insight and ROI analysis of marketing spend to ensure most efficient use of investment
- Preparation and analysis of sales and marketing performance KPIs, category and product-level revenues/profitability and evaluation of promotional activity and marketing spend
- Preparation & review of business cases for key responsibility areas
- Continuously improve and enhance forecasting models and methodology to drive forecast accuracy, including efficiently leveraging technology and data & analytics to assist decision making
- Lead an efficient and accurate month end close process for Marketing related expenditure
- Key contributor to target setting for sales and marketing as part of the Annual Budget and 3 Year Plan process
- Identification of risks and opportunities to budget/forecast
Requirements
Ideal background…
- 2-5 years' experience working in a similar role
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel or Google Sheets user.
- Retail e-commerce experience highly valued
- Ability to embrace ambiguity, be adaptive and thrive in a constantly evolving environment.
- Passionate about the details and focused on data accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to interact, engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
- Proven track record of leveraging analytical skills and insights to deliver business results.
- Understanding of non-financial metrics pertaining to e-commerce and marketing
- Creative problem solving skills with strong financial modelling experience.
- Ability to interpret financial statements, P&L and cash drivers is highly regarded.
- CA/CPA qualified or qualification underway (preferred).
- Highly analytical, with an ability to work with multiple data sources.
