About Us

At Komatsu Australia you’ll be part of an inclusive culture where all our people thrive, reflected in our purpose: creating value together. We encourage people with diverse backgrounds to apply for this role.

The Opportunity

Behind every urgent parts delivery is someone making sure the right part gets to the right place; fast.

We’re looking for an organised, customer-focused Expediting Specialist to join Komatsu’s National Parts team in Fairfield in this permanent opportunity. This is a fast-paced coordination role where you’ll take ownership of urgent machine-down and emergency parts orders, working across our branches, distribution centres, freight providers and overseas suppliers to keep orders moving and customers informed.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be the person who tracks it, chases it and sees it through. Your work will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and helping keep Komatsu equipment operating in the field.

Your role will involve:

  • Coordinating and expediting urgent and emergency parts orders.
  • Tracking orders and shipments through to delivery.
  • Working closely with branches, distribution centres, freight providers and overseas suppliers.
  • Providing accurate and timely delivery updates.
  • Troubleshooting delays and finding solutions when things don't go to plan.
  • Managing multiple priorities while keeping customers and stakeholders informed.
  • Taking ownership of requests and following them through to completion.

About you

You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you’ll need to be someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems.

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have experience in Parts, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Support or Supply Chain.
  • Are highly organised and comfortable juggling competing priorities.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.
  • Are naturally customer-focused and enjoy delivering great service.
  • Can think on your feet when priorities change or problems arise.
  • Don't like leaving things half-finished; you enjoy seeing a task through to the end.

Why work for us!

  • Families Policy: 16 weeks of paid primary carer parental leave, 4 weeks of secondary carer leave, plus many more family friendly benefits.
  • Financial: Income Protection Insurance provided through our company superannuation fund.
  • Career: Recognition, awards, flexibility, further education studies and internal career development.
  • Health: Corporate discount with Bupa, Total Wellbeing Solution with Telus Health.
  • Travel: Discounts with Avis, Qantas, Crown, IHG and travel agents.
  • Yearly Bonus: Potential to receive a yearly bonus.
  • Referral Program: $3000 referral payment for referring a successful new employee to Komatsu.

Ready to get started? Simply hit the apply now button!

Komatsu offers a zero-harm culture in the workplace and competitive remuneration package. We employ people with different skills, abilities, cultural backgrounds, experiences, preferences, ethnicities and from different generations. Komatsu is committed to a workplace where women can thrive.
