About image

I joined Komatsu in 2012 and have worked in a variety of roles within Quality and Engineering. In 2021 I took parental leave with the support of Komatsu’s generous paid parental leave and flexible work policies. When I returned to work I was supported to work from home 100% for 3 months, then transitioned to hybrid work. I was initially concerned about returning to work quickly as my little one was so young, but having the opportunity to work from home and support from my managers made the transition easy. I felt extremely valued on returning, being told I was missed during my break! Komatsu has been a great placed to work for me over the last 11 years. No two days are the same and I enjoy the day to day challenges, new experiences and being a part of change and continuous improvement activities, to support making a difference. I also enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office and going for a walk at lunchtime, which helps to take a break from a busy schedule. Maintaining a work life balance is important to me and having the flexibility to support my family while also progressing my career has gone a long way.
