The Opportunity:

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Rebuild Technicians – Electrical to join our team from mid-January to early February 2027.

There will be multiple positions available, with various roster options expected to be available.

Working in our Mt Thorley Branch located in the Hunter Valley, you will be responsible for the electrical component of heavy equipment rebuilds, working through the process from isolation and disconnection through to inspection, repair, installation, testing and commissioning.

You will also work closely with Mechanical Technicians and technical support teams to resolve integration issues, diagnose faults and ensure equipment is rebuilt safely and to specification.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely isolate, disconnect, remove, inspect, repair and reinstall electrical components and systems

  • Diagnose electrical, electronic, control and propulsion system faults

  • Complete electrical testing, functional checks and commissioning

  • Investigate and rectify defects identified during testing

  • Work from technical documentation, service manuals and engineering information

  • Support major equipment rebuilds in accordance with OEM specifications and quality requirements

  • Work collaboratively with Mechanical Technicians and technical support teams

  • Accurately record work completed, parts used and job progress

  • Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

The position description specifically identifies electrical diagnostics, testing and commissioning, including work across electrical, electronic, control and propulsion systems.

Roster: Various roster options available
Role Located: Mt Thorley branch, NSW
The role may involve both workshop and mine site work to support rebuild activities

What we are looking for:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

  • A current electrical licence

  • Minimum one year's post-trade experience in heavy equipment maintenance, repair or overhaul

  • Experience with heavy mobile equipment, mining equipment or similar environments

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability

  • The ability to interpret technical documentation and engineering information
