The Opportunity: Seeking a Trade Assistant to assist with the day to day operational activities of the Service Department. Provide a high level of customer service in line with the Komatsu Customer Support Charter.

Duties Include:

  • Set an example of commitment to safety at all times by actively engaging in all aspects of safety and performance
  • Workshop Bay staging for next set job / tasks
  • Parts prepping and staging for next set tasks
  • Crediting of unused parts and return to warehouse
  • Goods Receipting of inwards goods into workshop including all Sub-C works and parts
  • Assist with maintain tool store register and fixed assets
  • Assist with tooling test and tag inspection schedule for compliance
  • Maintain PPE stock levels in workshop
  • Maintain consumables level in workshop
  • Assist with maintaining 5S workshop standards within the workshop and yard
  • Coordinate waste removal and clean-up of yard
  • Supply practical assistance to minimise equipment down time
  • Provide a high-quality standard of work by using the workshop manual and relevant guidelines
  • Provide well written service reports covering complaint, cause and correction
  • Ensure all timesheets are completed end of shift
  • Report hazards, incidents and accidents to relevant personnel
  • Assist the Branch in various areas whilst other team members are on annual leave
  • Assist with duties that maybe assigned by your manager or supervisor

Roster: Monday to Friday 38 hour week

What we are looking for:

  • Hold full Driver’s Licence.
  • Hold/able to obtain relevant High Risk Licences (Forklift / Rigging / EWP etc).
  • Experience and exposure to OEM track press equipment and process - desirable.
  • Ability to demonstrate a basic level of computer literacy.
  • Ability to conduct safe manual handling techniques.
  • Ability to communicate and work with internal departments seamlessly on a daily basis whilst demonstrating an understanding of our customer’s requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to risk assessment process and hazard identification.
  • Ability to complete full pre-employment medical as well as random drug & alcohol testing
