We’re seeking a motivated Workshop leading hand to join and lead a high-performing team in our Sherwood workshop. You’ll coordinate repairs, servicing, and maintenance of Komatsu machines for our Remarketing team. You’ll ensure all work meets safety, quality, and efficiency standards while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing:
- Oversee and coordinate daily workshop activities and subcontractor work.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S).
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet SLA timeframes, compliance and documentation requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections, review jobs, and manage cost communication.
- Lead by example in safety and complete regular safety audits.
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant trade qualification (mandatory)
- Proven experience in trade workshop supervision or coordination.
- Strong mechanical background (heavy equipment preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safety and process improvement.
