At KONE, we bring buildings to life.
Look around and you’ll see KONE in buildings everywhere. Through our technical expertise and digital connectivity, we provide an essential service to communities around the world – keep people moving no matter what.
Our work will take you in different directions.
Are you an experienced Lift Installer looking to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge, coaching others, and helping people succeed?
This is a great opportunity for an experienced lift industry professional who wants to transition away from hands-on installation work while remaining closely connected to the field and making a lasting impact on people and performance.
We are looking for a Lift Field Trainer (Installation and Modernisation) to join our operations team and play a key role in developing the technical capability, safety awareness, and installation excellence of our field workforce. This person will be based in Brisbane, QLD – where we are building our new state of the art Training Centre.
What will you be doing?
- Deliver engaging technical training and practical coaching to field operatives within our new training centre and on-site.
- Support the development of installers and apprentices through hands-on coaching, mentoring, and competency-based learning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with KONE trainers globally to share best practices, training innovations, and emerging industry trends.
- Analyse performance and competency data to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training and corrective action plans.
- Support and actively participate in new employee inductions, site inspections, quality reviews, and operational audits.
- Adapt global training programs, materials, and work instructions to meet local regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
- Support competency development initiatives, including assessments, surveys, skills verification, and capability reviews.
- Partner with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and technical excellence.
- Participate in incident and serious near-miss investigations in collaboration with the Safety Manager, identifying learning opportunities and recommending preventative measures.
