About Liberty
Helping people is in our DNA. As the leading non-bank lender in Australia, for decades we have been providing free-thinking loans and have helped over 500,000 people get financial. We offer a broad range of flexible and custom products and are passionate about building and delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.
We are a collaborative and social community that pride ourselves on being values driven. We base our vision of being the leading finance group that champions free thinking on FLAIR, our five key values that guide us to always be Fair, Learning, Accountable, Invested and Resourceful. These values inform everything we do, from how we look at the world, engage with our customers and treat each other.
The Opportunity
AI is changing how software is built, and we want developers who are excited to be part of that evolution.
In this role, you'll design, build and deploy applications that leverage AI, automation and cloud-native technologies. Rather than simply writing code, you'll work alongside AI-powered development tools to accelerate delivery, solve complex business problems and create innovative customer solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in Azure, containers, modern software architecture and automated CI/CD, while helping shape how AI is embedded across our products and engineering practices.
We welcome developers at all stages of their careers who are curious, adaptable and eager to experiment with new technologies. If you enjoy learning, taking ownership and working directly with customers to deliver meaningful outcomes, you'll thrive in our team. This role requires a minimum of three days per week in the office to support collaboration, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Building, enhancing, and maintaining intelligent systems and applications, including the integration of AI and automation to deliver smarter solutions for our customers.
- Working iteratively and validating learning to ensure we’re solving the right problems, using AI where it adds value.
- Owning and supporting the entire stack as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.
- Work with the latest AI tools and techniques including fully subsidised Cursor licences, context engineering frameworks and robust MCP integration.
- Actively participating in agile processes in a company that truly embraces agile across all departments.
Enough about us, lets talk about you
Is This Role for You?
- You understand that AI is changing the way that we do development and want to work with like-minded developers who are embracing the benefits of AI.
- You’re customer focused, with a drive to get to the core of the problem and solve it.
- You want to design and build simple, scalable, and reliable solutions in an enterprise environment, leveraging both traditional and AI-driven approaches.
- You have experience in web front ends and C#, and are looking to take your skills to the next level, potentially by integrating AI features.
- You’re familiar with concepts like CQRS, Domain Driven Design, and asynchronous message-based systems, and want to see how AI can enhance these patterns.
- You’re looking for a supportive and fun environment where diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunities are part of the company DNA!
- Previous experience with Python and functional programming would be advantageous but not essential.
