About Liberty

Helping people is in our DNA. As the leading non-bank lender in Australia, we have helped more than 500,000 customers get financial. We offer a broad range of flexible, custom products and are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for our customers.

Our vision of being the leading finance group that champions free thinking is underpinned by our values of being Fair, Learning, Accountable, Invested and Resourceful. These values guide how we think, engage, and work together every day.

The Opportunity

Are you passionate about building robust governance frameworks, managing risk intelligently, and ensuring compliance delivers real security outcomes? Do you want to move beyond policy writing to actively shape how an organisation manages risk and meets regulatory obligations?

We are looking for a Cyber Security GRC Specialist who is analytical, practical, and technically aware, someone who can drive meaningful outcomes while working collaboratively across multiple security domains.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced analyst ready to step up, someone who thrives on translating regulatory requirements into actionable controls, supporting audit readiness, and building frameworks that enable rather than constrain the business.

At Liberty, technology is central to our business, and we are accelerating our use of automation and AI to drive innovation. You will work end-to-end across the GRC lifecycle, from risk assessment and control design through to evidence collection, compliance reporting, and audit management.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing compliance evidence collection, tracking remediation activities, and maintaining regulatory readiness across standards and frameworks including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, APRA Prudential Standard CPS 234, and the ACCC Consumer Data Right.
  • Conducting risk assessments, supporting risk treatment planning, and monitoring the effectiveness of controls.
  • Collaborating with cyber team members across Security Engineering, Security Operations, and Data Security to embed risk and compliance considerations into technical delivery.
  • Supporting audit preparation and serving as a point of liaison with external auditors, assessors, and regulators.
  • Developing and maintaining policies, standards, and procedures that are practical, clear, and aligned with business needs.
  • Exploring and implementing compliance automation tools and compliance-as-code approaches to improve efficiency.
  • Promoting a culture of shared accountability, continuous improvement, and pragmatic risk management.

Enough about us, lets talk about you

  • You bring solid GRC experience with a strong understanding of information security frameworks, risk management principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • You have technical awareness and curiosity, with the ability to understand controls and collaborate effectively with technical teams.
  • You are practical and outcome-focused, ensuring compliance activities drive real improvements.
  • You thrive on working end-to-end from assessment through to reporting and audit.
  • You are comfortable managing multiple compliance frameworks simultaneously and understanding how they interact.
  • You have experience with or interest in privacy and data protection frameworks, with an appetite to develop expertise in this area.
  • You are collaborative and enjoy working across teams to achieve shared outcomes.
  • You have experience with or strong interest in exploring compliance automation and compliance-as-code approaches.
  • You are detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage evidence collection, track remediation, and maintain audit readiness.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries would be valued but is not mandatory.
