About the opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and influential leader to join the Network Operations team as a Network Area Performance Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for optimising the performance of Western Australia's road network, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable movement of people and freight across a complex and dynamic transport environment.
At the forefront of issues affecting the network, you will identify opportunities, influence outcomes and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance network performance. You will provide leadership and direction to a diverse operational team across signals and route management, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation and service excellence.
Working closely with stakeholders across the broader transport portfolio, you will play a key role in delivering coordinated, customer-focused outcomes that improve the performance of the road network and support multi-modal transport objectives. You will apply your expertise in traffic theory, operational modelling, network performance analysis and traffic signal optimisation to address complex challenges, mitigate congestion and improve the efficient use of the network.
A significant focus of this role is leadership. We are seeking a leader who embodies Main Roads' Building Leadership Impact (BLI) qualities and is passionate about developing people and building organisational capability. You will lead with integrity, humility and authenticity, creating an environment where staff feel supported, empowered and accountable. Through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing, you will build capability within your team, foster a high-performance culture and support future succession planning.
