Why we need you
Our Heavy Vehicle Services Branch is seeking two (2) motivated individuals to join their team as Project Manager Heavy Vehicle Projects on a permanent basis. This role will be located at our Heavy Vehicle Services Branch in Redcliffe and will be responsible for managing specialist research, analysis, development and implementation of significant national transport reform and, related heavy vehicle regulation and business improvement projects that facilitate ‘best practice’ heavy vehicle regulation in Western Australia (WA). In this role, you will provide specialist advice for the development and achievement of Heavy Vehicle Services (HVS) strategic regulatory objectives.
This is a critical leadership role, working as part of a team to ensure safe, efficient and sustainable heavy vehicle access to the Western Australian road network. Some of your key deliverables in this role include:
- Research and Analysis: Support us to continually improve heavy vehicle regulation in Western Australia
- Project and Contract Management: Manage the development, implementation and co-ordination of national transport reform, heavy vehicle regulation and business improvement projects (including minor civil and ICT projects).
Manage project scope, schedules, contracts and resources to deliver on time and on budget
- Regulatory Framework: Develop and implement operational policy, procedures and guidelines in relation to heavy vehicle national reform and applicable regulation and business improvement projects. Be a leader by ensuring the provision of specialist advice regarding ‘best practice’ regulatory frameworks across Australia.
- Leadership and Management: Provide leadership both in your team and within Main Roads as an organisation to ensure resources are utilised effectively, and safety is a priority.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Represent Main Roads as you build and maintain collaborative working relationships with key national and state stakeholders.
