About the Role
Main Roads Western Australia is growing rapidly due to technological advancements and population increases, and their impact on the transport landscape. This growth is creating new challenges and opportunities within the organisation, especially in the area of incident response.
We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Incident Response Services, based at 98 Radium Street, Welshpool. In this role, no two days will be the same as you will be coordinating and managing a rapid on-road incident response service on our metropolitan road network, attending vehicle crashes, breakdowns and other emergencies.
To be successful in this role you will possess considerable skill and experience in prioritising and providing incident response services.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual who has the ability to build strong collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You will demonstrate effective management and practices for incident response services and have the ability to perform timely incident scale assessments and determine resources required including various services, equipment and materials.
The successful applicant of this role must be prepared to work outside of normal hours, when required, during emergencies, with appropriate allowances paid. Additionally, the successful applicant is required to provide a “command and control” function for handling response/recovery and act as the first point of contact for on-road incident enquiries.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career and lead a supportive team that provides a critical service to community. Our environment encourages people to improve business practices and actively contribute to the strategic direction of Main Roads. If you possess the skills and this position interests you, we encourage you to apply.
