The Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) & Melbourne Airport Rail (MAR) is being delivered in three work packages, with a program level team (RPVP) assisting each package. The three work packages are: Rail Systems Alliance (RSA), Rail Infrastructure Alliance (RIA) and the Tunnels and Stations (T&S) Public Private Partnership.
Due to continued growth, are currently looking for a Senior Document Controller & a Document Controller to join the team.
The Role
The Document Controller roles support the project by developing, improving and adhering to efficient document control processes and performing efficient document control and records management.
This role is a fulltime, 2-year contract based in Melbourne’s CBD across our Head office in Docklands and site offices including our new project office in Sunshine.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that incoming project documentation is clearly identifiable prior to distribution.
- Provide assurance by incoming verification checks and compliance of project documents in accordance with MTM’s franchise agreement – Train Project module and Franchise cooperation agreement (FCA).
- Adherence to all legislative, regulatory and project requirements.
- Ensure any comments arising from reviews are collated, recorded and disseminated accordingly.
- Assist Metro Tunnel Project (MTP) Document Control Manager, Tunnels and Stations (TAS) Engineering Interface Manager & FCA document controller in managing the MTP and FCA document control tasks.
- Perform document control duties for the Melbourne Rail Project
- Establish working relationship with stakeholders and ensure they adhere to the document control processes.
- Management of forms and general correspondence such as Request for Info (RFI), Stakeholder Review Forms (SRF) and Data Review Forms (DRF)
- Check information on drawings for conformance with status and format agreed.
- Provide TeamBinder training to the MTP new starters.
- Any other duties as specified by document control manager.
About You
- 5 years’ experience in Document Control.
- Experience in using document management systems such as Team Binder and Aconex.
- Good knowledge of research techniques, project systems and procedures.
- Ability to use and maintain administrative systems.
- Good understanding of the processes of project management and the role of project client.
- Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to.
- Ability to interpret and analyse information relating to the executive offices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written).
