MTM is currently seeking a Level 4 Station Master for our busy Flinders Street Station!
This role would suit someone with a passion to drive employee engagement and lead and support a team. Some of the main responsibilities will include:
- Managing Metro’s Passenger Service operating facilities (stations) within the ideals of Passenger Service delivery and the service obligations of Metro.
- Managing the station resources through strong and effective leadership and management.
- Performing Safeworking and Control Desk functions.
- Deploying staff resources and re-allocating rosters in response to short notice absences
- Providing reports to the Line Manager on all unusual incidents and circumstances occurring at the locations supervised.
- Ensuring complaints are dealt with in accordance with Metro Trains Passenger Experience Policies & Procedures.
About You
To be considered for this role, you need to demonstrate experience in:
- Management of station staff and of the full range of Passenger services.
- Effectively dealing with public complaints regarding maintenance matters and issues.
- Operating under emergency and/or demanding situations.
- Demonstrating a safety focus and a willingness to promote a safe working culture including knowledge of Safeworking Systems.
- Monitoring activities and providing leadership, as well as encouraging improvement.
- Planning, advising and analysing training needs and co-ordinate training for a diverse multi-skilled work group.
- Motivating and communicating effectively with all personnel throughout the organisation.
- Interpreting Passenger specifications and requirements.
- Following occupational health safety and environmental procedures in the rail industry.
