This is your chance to be part of an organization working on multiple projects in Victoria’s Big Build which is delivering 165 major road and rail projects, including Metro Tunnel, a second underground railway for Melbourne with 5 new stations, removal of 85 level crossings across Melbourne and the Melbourne Airport Rail.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful individual will be responsible for linking business goals, strategies, and processes into a clear and relevant OT (Operational Technology) enterprise architecture to support OCMS (Operational Control and Management Systems) and business strategy plans. The role will require strong collaboration with a wide variety of decision makers in engineering, project delivery, operations, and maintenance to ensure strong alignment between OCMS and business initiatives.
They will also be responsible in evaluating future technologies to enable business agility, asset management improvements, data quality improvements, system efficiency, risk reduction and cost saving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the creation of an OT Enterprise Architecture
- Responsible for the creation of governance, assurance and standards to guide Enterprise Architecture (EA) decision making
- Engage with technical presales activities including the delivery of Feasibility Studies, Project Briefs, High Level Solution Context and Order of Magnitude Estimations (OOM) to ensure alignment with the EA
- Provide, guide and advise stakeholders of disruptive technologies and trends, formulating strategy in alignment with business plans and the EA
- Provide guidance and governance on vendor generated design documentation ensuring compliance with the EA
- Analyse the OCMS Systems environments to detect critical deficiencies and provide remediation plans
- Support the retention of Metro’s rail operator accreditation and delivery on Franchise Agreement commitments.
ABOUT YOU
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, a related field of study or equivalent experience
- Experience in Critical Infrastructure and Life Safety Operational Technology Systems and Enterprise Architecture
- Five or more years of experience in at least three OT discipline areas
- Experience interfacing between large project design and delivery and current operational technology environments
- Expert level understanding of mission critical, real time computing and control systems
- Awareness of asset management frameworks and ISO standards highly preferred
- Systems engineering and Safety Engineering qualifications and/or experience are highly regarded
