About the role
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven leader to consider an outstanding role to build on their career developed to date and take it to the next level by making a tangible impact that matters.
As the Business Resilience Manager, you will lead the Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) Business Resilience program to ensure that capability, plans, systems and processes are in place to support an efficient business response and recovery following unplanned disruption.
Other key duties will include (but not limited to):
  • Build MTMs Business Resilience capability through the facilitation and design of training and ongoing coaching of divisional and functional managers to build resilience capability and ensure legislative compliance.
  • Support MTM Functional and Divisional leaders through ensuring adequate Incident Management Team (IMT) roster coverage and capability.
  • Continuously improve policies, procedures, plans, and systems including Incident Management, Emergency Management and Emergency Plans to support MTM and its divisions to ensure a robust business resilience program for MTM.
About you
You will be a highly effective communicator with proven people leadership experience within a dynamic operating environment or similar. In addition, you will possess:
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards (Safety, Security, Resilience)
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations and legislation that relate with safety and emergency management
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen, with experience in delivering change management programs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.
