ABOUT THE ROLE
The OCMS Design Engineer’s role exists to develop OCS designs to support the Level Crossing Removal and Melbourne Airport Rail Project design activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design engineering solutions that adhere to relevant MTM and AS/NZ standards
- Manage the delivery of designs against schedule and take remedial action as required
- Co-ordinate technical aspects of designs with other areas of the MTM business and other external stakeholders.
- Review and understand existing brownfield conditions and/or staging requirements in order to produce design documentation
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Systems) or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia
- Experience producing building services or telecommunications drawings such as CCTV camera coverage plans, preparing site plans and layouts, schematics, and wirings diagrams; and Cabling and equipment schedules
- Ability to interpret standards and existing design documentation
- Ability to co-ordinate with other technical disciplines such as building services, architects, structural engineers etc.
