Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) are currently recruiting for suitably experienced As-Built Review Engineer to join theProgram As Built Review Group (PARG) supporting the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) & Metro Tunnell Project (MTP). The primary function of the Program As Built Review Group (PARG) is to ensure that MTM can demonstrate effective control and management of its requirements under the Safety Management System (SMS) and Accreditation.
The Role:
The As-Built Review Engineer is responsible for the provision of effective and timely technical review services of as-built drawings submitted by the LXRP and MTP Packages, in accordance with MTM standards and guidelines, to ensure they accurately describe the final completed works and comply with PTV Infrastructure Drafting Standard.
Offered as a permanent opportunity, this position will be based from our project offices within the CBD of Melbourne . Metro Trains Melbourne support flexible working arrangements with a mixture of office based and working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the provision of effective and timely review services of As-Built drawings submitted by the LXRP Alliances and Metro Tunnel Project in accordance with Projects Completions Procedure
- Provision of management reports as required
- Support asset approval processes and ensure close out documentation and drawings are finalised in order to achieve project close out and sign off.
- Collaborate with the As Built Review Manager and other required disciplines to ensure timely review of design packages, and Requests For Information (RFI);
- Collaborate with the Document Control Team to ensure timely submission of As Built drawings into Drawing Management System (DMS).
- Ensure that MTM’s SMS (including all processes and procedures) is adhered to and assurance evidence is prepared and maintained as required under the Rail Safety National Law (RSNL);
- Liaise with the Design Review team and As-Builts Review Manager to prepare and expedite the clearance of review comments.
- Manage As-Built and Department of Transport (DOT) Infrastructure Drafting Standard compliance reviews in accordance with MTM's agreed processes.
- Develop and maintain efficient and effective relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
Desired qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in Civil / Structural discipline will be highly regarded
- Prior experience in undertaking As-Built Review reviews advantageous
- Proven ability to read technical documentation and drawings and confirm compliance to relevant standards and specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively to management and staff at all levels (verbal and written).
- Excellent time management and awareness of meeting deadlines and deliverables.
