About the role
We’re looking for a Safeworking Planner to join the Rail Safety team.
In this position you’ll plan and manage the safe access to the rail corridor for all Infrastructure works across our network, ensuring that all occupation work plans are met via the operating guidelines and procedures.
You will operate as a subject matter expert, providing specialist input when liaising with stakeholders, planning teams, and various Infrastructure disciplines to reflect detailed occupation requirements.
Please note, it is essential to hold a TFPC 3.2 qualification for this position. This position is based out of the E-Gate Depot, Docklands, and will offer flexible hybrid working arrangement with a 2/3 split (3 office days required per week).
Main duties include:

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, establishing occupation plans for forthcoming works across 3-6 months planning.

Develop agreed protection diagrams that comply with Network Safety regulations.

Administer MTM Access Resource Management System (ARMS) planning systems.

Ensure occupation plans support the achievement of work in a timely and effective manner.

Liaise with other Accredited Rail Operators (AROs) where activities are proposed at or across jurisdictional boundaries.

Ensure that Absolute Occupations are planned efficiently, maximising opportunities for Works to share Occupations and thus minimizing impact to the Network.

Conduct on-site visits to perform safeworking risk assessments on upcoming occupations.

Design Protection Diagrams in Adobe Software Programs, adhering to Metro Policy and Procedures.
About you:

Track Force Protection Coordinator (TFPC) Level 3.2 – Essential.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in rail industry specific works, planning and occupation management.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in safeworking and infield network knowledge.

Experience in the planning and developing of agreed protection plans/diagrams.
-
Extensive understanding of the Rail Safety Rules and their application.
