ABOUT THE ROLE
One of the key projects which this role will be leading is aimed at upgrading the crew rostering and scheduling application used by MTM Train Operations. This project is aimed at managing technology obsolescence risk and uplifting the security posture while at the same time delivering functional improvements.
This role will be responsible for working with senior stakeholders across Train Operations and OCMS to understand detailed business requirements, then design and implement the solution in a mission critical part of the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and direction to a multi-disciplinary functional team so that outcomes and service levels are met, ensuring effective quality control, communication management, change control management, risk management and issue management.
- Influence key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure the performance of OCMS Systems Projects supports the outcomes and objectives of the broader company

- Defining and developing project scope of works, including obtaining client signoff, of all business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Management of risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions and constraints. Emphasis on timely and accurate logging of these items and autonomous prioritisation and resolution.
ABOUT YOU
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (business preferred)
- Relevant course completion or certification in project management
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management. IT industry experience preferred
- Functional experience in implementing Crew Rostering or Scheduling systems
- Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
- Ability to apply the Project Management Framework process
