As the city’s metropolitan rail service, Metro operates 226 six carriage trains across 998 kilometres of track, transporting 450,000 customers each day. We aim to encourage the Melbourne community’s vibrant and ever evolving lifestyles, by providing a seamless transport solution to keep individuals connected.
With 15 lines, 222 stations and services seven days a week, Metro can take you wherever you’re headed across the city, whenever you want to go.
About you
You will be in your last semester of study or have graduated in the previous three years. With a passion for learning, enthusiastic about change, driven to deliver results in a fast-paced environment and eager to support business opportunity. With an eye for detail and clear communication style, you will see yourself confidentially engaging with multiple levels of stakeholders. Utilising an open mind, you will naturally be inquisitive to business scenarios.

Program Structure
MTM Engineering Graduates work across our entire network, learning the core functions of running a safe, reliable, and passenger-focused service. Our aim is to educate future leaders of our business how the growing rail network operates and the complexities behind what we do. Engineering Graduates participate in Mentoring programs with senior leaders, undergo ongoing training, as well as work alongside colleagues within Metro Trains Melbourne.
