About the role
We are currently looking for SERQA Coordinator to join our Project SERQA Team at Metro Trains.
SERQA stands for Safety, Environment, Risk, Quality, Assurance and as the SERQACoordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to Projects Division and provide support around Occupational Health and Safety, Rail Safety & Environment.

Accountabilities
The key responsibilities of a Project Administrator will include but not be limited to:
- Play a key role in the development of key SERQ strategies/initiatives.
- Assist in development of Project Rail Safety and OH&S procedures as required to ensure compliance with the MTM Safety Management System
- Support Risk and Issues Workshops
- Develop and maintain the Project SERQ page on the Project Knowledge Centre (PKC)
- Develop and implement the SERQ initiatives register
- Develop, standardise and implement the suite of SERQ reports for the Projects Division
- Develop and implement SERQ KPI tracking and reporting, including analytics
- Participate in site audits, inspections and safety incident investigations
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of incidents and non-conformances related to Rail Safety, OH&S, Risk and Environmental incidents or process deficiencies
- Secretariat role for the Projects Division SERQ committee
- Promote a culture of zero harm
- Ensure all safety incidences are reported in accordance with MTMs incident management procedure.
- Support timely completion of all SERQ reports required by the business and external parties
- Support Governance, Project Controls and Completions work as required within the SERQA team
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Qualification in OH&S or a related discipline or demonstrable professional experience
- Knowledge of RSNL legislation and ONRSR Reporting Requirements
- Advanced INX, MS Excel and Power BI knowledge and ability
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate for key outcomes
- Ability to schedule work priorities to ensure deadlines are strictly adhered to
- Ability to use verbal and written communications skills, including report writing
