What you will be doing
As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a vital role in analysing, enhancing, and maintaining the reliability and availability of our X'Trapolis and Siemens trains. By identifying potential failures, implementing preventive measures, and developing strategies to minimise downtime, you will contribute to the efficient and uninterrupted operation of our train services. You will be based at our Epping depot and work from our other depots from time to time.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse X'Trapolis and Siemens train faults, identifying potential reliability issues and areas for improvement.

  • Develop and implement tailored maintenance strategies to optimise the reliability and availability of these train models.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and ensure effective solutions.

  • Monitor and analyse performance data and logs to identify trends and implement appropriate actions.

  • Conduct root cause analysis, develop strategies to prevent future failures, and improve overall performance.

  • Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to address technical concerns and maintain optimal train performance.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and reliability reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in the transportation industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with train systems and infrastructure is preferred.
