About The Role
We are currently looking for adynamic Training Officer - SWIRC (TVO) to provide clear and engaging delivery of agreed content and manage the assessment process in accordance with the business objectives, assessment requirements, statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations to support to Metro Academy training activities.
You will maintain and develop training courseware and materials for MTM approved courses such as Track Vehicle Operator (TVO), Safely Work in the Rail Corridor (SWIRC), Train Track Safety Awareness (TTSA) and TTSA renewal, ensuring the delivery of courseware is contextualised to MTM employees and external third-party contractors.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity which will require travel between South Kensington and Newport.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Deliver and assess initial and renewal training for TVO, SWIRC, TTSA and TTSA renewal to internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure quality delivery and assessment of training programs in accordance with AQF and business standards
- Maintain existing and develop new courseware for the delivery and assessment of accredited and non-accredited safe working training in line with business policy and procedures as well as RTO standards
- Maintain currency in all levels of Safe working as per the position purpose and development plan
- Be proactive in seeking out better ways to deliver training content (continuous improvement initiatives)
- Flexibility to deliver and assess afterhours and on weekends when requested
About You
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or the ability to acquire
- Hold TVO qualifications and/or have experience in driving Track Vehicles on a Rail Network
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as mining, construction, high risk work, oil and gas, transport or rail.
- Experience in WHS / OHS
- Experience delivering and assessing Accredited / Non-Accredited Training
- Extensive experience in collaborating and coordinating activities in a regulated training environment
- A strong team player who strives to enhance best practice work methods and techniques.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally & written with all levels of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to juggle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
