About The Role
An exciting opportunity to join our Infrastructure team as a dynamic PSD (Platform Screen Door) Maintainer!
In your role as the PSD Maintainer, your primary duty is to ensure the continuous operation of Power and Platform Screen Doors to support the seamless functioning of the train. This involves executing a range of tasks, including preventive and responsive maintenance, renewals, installations, and other related activities.
This is an exceptional permanent full-time position that offers the opportunity to work across various locations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
As the PSD Maintainer, your responsibilities will include:
- Support the achievement of KPI’s and technical maintenance plan
- When necessary, use mobile and / or elevated platforms.
- Monitor and report on the performance of Power and Platform Screen Door equipment to support quality systems.
- Assist in ensuring material resources are available for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of all preventive and reactive maintenance works.
- Without detailed instructions and where procedures are established, perform basic tests, carry out simple installations and measurements, investigate and repair faults on the system and report data. Install, with instructions, more complex type of equipment.
- Under supervision and as a member of a team, carry out reactive and planned maintenance, renewals, installation and ensure electrical installations are functioning to Australian Standards, and other tasks on high / low voltage equipment within the Metro network
- Building in accordance with Metro’s requirements and relevant rules and regulations.
