Network Assets & Assurance (NA&A) team at Metro includes more than 2000 people from Infrastructure, Innovation, Engineering, Rolling Stock, OCMS, Strategic Asset Management and Planning and Integration.
The NA&A team manage the change to the network – ensuring that the asset outcome is safe, reliable and sustainable, both today and into the future.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Manager – OCMS Operational Integration leads the Operational Technology teams in Metro Trains’ and is responsible for all 24/7 support and maintenance aspects of the rail side technology-based equipment and systems and interfaces to the new Metro Tunnel systems and teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing strategic input, planning and leadership to the Head of Operational Technology to produce, systemise and implement a standardised operating model and processes across the support teams including budgeting, forecasting and resource and capacity planning and management
- Lead high performing teams of technical and engineering experts ensuring systems are available, maintained and supported and provide governance and oversight of vendor support contracts and performance
- Develop and implement processes to manage resource demand to ensure efficient utilisation, commitments are met (including project budget resource recovery), and any deficits are identified and mitigated accordingly
- Actively participate in workshops, planning, design, and integration activities to ensure compliance with MTM standards and provide guidance and direction to broader technology strategies
- Lead and deliver improvements to the cyber security posture of the critical systems, in conjunction with the OCMS cyber security and associated teams
- Build and lead ongoing stakeholder relationships within operations, infrastructure, project teams, vendors, and service providers to facilitate project deliverables and operational improvements
ABOUT YOU
- 10-15 years broad engineering experience within a relevant industry such as rail, utilities, mining, transport, offshore, oil & gas, energy, critical infrastructure or others.
- 5+ years of experience leading diverse technical teams of engineers and subject matter experts (preferably in a 24/7 operational environment, managing multiple teams)
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Systems, Electronics) or equivalent recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Solid experience in an OT information security analyst/engineering role, especially around testing and implementing security controls.
- Service and support contract management experience desirable.
