You will be supporting the successful delivery of one of the largest transformational rail projects in Melbourne, The Metro Tunnel (MTP).
MTP is a transformational public transport project that will bring more trains to your suburb and reduce travel times by running the busy Cranbourne, Pakenham and Sunbury lines through a new tunnel. By untangling the City Loop, more trains can run more often across Melbourne.

About The Role
Reporting to the Senior Planner, you will be responsible for the development and management of detailed schedules for works on the Metro Tunnel Trial Operations Readiness program, for the monitoring and reporting of project progress and for the provision of project controls advice and support to Project Managers and Program Managers. The role supports the project across the Trial Operations phase of the project providing technical advice and analytical oversight.

In this role, you will:
- Create, develop and maintain schedules in order to provide progress reports for projects throughout their lifecycle to enable rollup of project schedules into overall program schedules.
- Assist in optimisation of the program by leading and integrating the planning deliverables including, work breakdown structure, resource loading etc.
- Produce project status reports (dashboards, curves, histograms, baseline variances etc.). Provide guidance to project teams on schedule development. Identify critical paths, areas of concern and suggestions for improvement.
- Apply consistent WBS, baseline, project ID's, coding, resourcing, logic, relationships, layouts etc. across projects.
- Assist delivery of planning awareness and training programs to the wider project teams to ensure awareness and compliance to requirements for Project Control.
- Interface with external and internal parties and participate in internal planning sessions with all disciplines to create robust schedules.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction, business, project management or equivalent.
- Previous experience in project Planning & Scheduling throughout large scale project lifecycle
- Knowledge of current planning and project management best practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Ability to analyse quality of schedule, schedule health and metrics.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff (verbal and written).
