The Opportunity
At MinRes, we prioritise mental health just as much as physical well-being. We are seeking passionate Mental Health Clinician – Counsellor / Psychologist who is committed to making a real impact on employee well-being.
Be part of our internal mental health department that offers the unique opportunity to engage with employees across MinRes sites, promoting good mental health and self-care through the provision of mental health resources.
This role will report directly to our Manager, Mental Health Services, and you will be on a blended roster. You will be Perth-based with FIFO travel to site on a 4:3 / 4:3 rotation.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based interventions for employees facing challenges like stress, grief, anxiety, burnout, and low mood.
- Conduct mental health risk assessments, including suicide risk evaluations.
- Manage a caseload of up to 25 active clients (1.0 FTE).
- Provide in-person & telehealth consultations.
- Collaborate with Emergency Services, Medics, Health & Wellbeing Advisors, and Gym Staff as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Lead mental health education and psychosocial wellbeing initiatives (e.g., pre-start talks, workshops, mindfulness sessions).
- Contribute to quality improvement & mental health research.
What is required?
- Registered Psychologist or master’s in counselling
- Membership with ACA, AHPRA, or PACFA
- 2+ years’ experience in mental health
- Suicide risk assessment experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving & teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Insurance (Malpractice, Public & Products Liability)
- C-Class Driver’s Licence desirable
