- $32.14 per hour plus 10.5% superannuation (Commensurate with experience)
The Opportunity
Working within Moonee Valley’s diverse municipality, you will be responsible for the planning and preparation of nutritionally balanced, culturally sensitive and appropriate menus for children. You will work in accordance with relevant legislation and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan regularly rotating menus that are nutritionally balanced, culturally sensitive and seasonal for children enrolled in our children’s programs
- Collaborate with staff, family and the local community
- Liaise with educators in the children’s programs to ensure all nutritional, cultural and developmental preferences and requirements are considered
- Research effective methods of ordering and delivery of perishables to ensure the highest quality produce is used in menu planning and provision of meals
- Ensure a OHS guidelines are maintained and food safety standards are adhered to
Skills & Experience
- Certificate 3 (or above) in commercial cookery and experience related to food planning and preparation.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and/or a Food Handling (Food Safety and Hygiene)
- Hold a current and valid:
- Working with Children’s Check
- First Aid Level 2
- Anaphylaxis Management
- Emergency Asthma Management
- Experience working in children’s services will be well regarded.
