The Opportunity
This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate support their studies by assisting with the completion of the legislated Planning Scheme Review.
They will complete this valuable work by completing quality research into urban issues and provide support to other key projects currently underway within the City Futures Department. This work will be completed under supervision, ensuring you are coached and mentored throughout your time with Moonee Valley City Council.
About You
To be suitable for this position, you will possess:
- Substantial progression towards the completion of a tertiary qualification in urban planning or related field and some experience in strategic planning or policy development
- Some experience working on a planning scheme review
- Developed time management and prioritisation of work skills
- Ability to effectively achieve objectives and desired outcomes within set timeframes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player and collaborative nature
